Whereas accountability can be defined as responsibility, it is useful to define it as answerability to others or self. We can benefit by becoming more aware of how we can do a better job regarding our responsibility toward others. Accountability can be an external and/or internal experience and is fertile ground for self-exploration. As we more fully understand the consequences of our actions, we see how we may be affecting our karma.
