Do you think your life is supposed to be pleasant? If your life is not pleasant, does that mean it’s a failure? We live in an atmosphere of “pleasant,” thus we spend much of our time organized around the pleasant. How would you organize otherwise? Are your expectations really about compensating for a lack of relatedness in your life?
