The life skills that  Phillip Moffitt teaches in the new book that he is writing, are grounded in Western psychology and Buddhist philosophy. In his experience, Moffitt has found that integrating these two disciplines is an even more powerful approach to transforming life’s difficulties into opportunities for growth than either alone.  Many people lack clarity about their life’s direction and don’t have the necessary skills to cope with difficulty when it arises. As a result, they collapse into emotional chaos, make poor decisions, fail to act wisely, repeat past failures, and cause suffering for themselves and others. Moffitt has witnessed how this chain of events can lead to depression, or a general feeling of being disappointed or dissatisfied with life, or a sense of not being genuine. Through his own self-study and by helping hundreds of individuals navigate their inner journeys, Moffitt has identified a set of essential life skills that anyone can develop and that will profoundly improve their ability to respond wisely to any difficult life situation, as well as renew their enthusiasm for life.   The book is a practical and inspiring guide to abandoning unhealthy habits of mind that cause you to react unskillfully to life events and developing wholesome ways of responding to the life you are living.
