Practicing Cessation Week 33
An extended period of silent meditation practice is ideal for practicing cessation. In such an environment there is little disruption to your observing your mind. You investigate your emotions, body, mental processes, and other physical objects. You carefully and repeatedly note that all these objects are characterized by cessation.

For your reflection: One day this week set aside a four-hour period for silent meditation. During this time notice one thing over and over again: What is ending right now? When you first do this practice, it can be unsettling. If that starts to happen, notice that something new always replaces what has just ceased.
